Arizona, contrary to popular belief, is not just the same stereotypical desert-type landscape all throughout the state. At least, not the way most people envision it to be. Arizona is home to some gorgeous landscapes and sunsets, and if you're in the city of Phoenix, there is a lot to do no matter what time of year it is. After all, Arizona is indeed a desert with temperatures reaching well above 100°F in certain parts, especially during summer, but it also has many other personalities, one of them being the beautiful town of Sedona. Sedona is a lovely little town that's very popular for not only its gorgeous red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and unique plants and creeks - it's also a big hotspot any traveler would love. It features hundreds of tourist attractions and activities, no matter what your budget is.

From the infamous Pink Jeep Tours to just walking around the shopping centers and taking pictures in front of the only blue McDonald's in the world, you will find something fun to do in this little town. One of the most popular attractions is the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, which features a plethora of art galleries and craft shops enveloped by beautiful cobblestone paths and decorative archways. If you are looking for something new, or are a big fan of unique art, this is the place for you. Be warned - there is a lot of traffic here. Not only at Tlaquepaque, but all of Sedona, so be prepared to add in time to find parking, as it can be very tricky (especially during the holidays).

Some of our top picks for shops include Rowe Gallery, Vue, Caravana Jewelry, Cocopah, Sedona Music Boxes & More, Spirits & Spice, and Tlaquepaque Toy Town. There are also plenty of delicious places to eat and even find dessert.

On top of all these wonderful shops, Tlaquepaque is also within walking distance of Hilton Vacation Club Los Abrigados Resort & Spa Sedona, a beautiful hotel with plenty of amenities and hiking trails around. Amenities include free parking, spa, an on-site restaurant, EV charging, an outdoor pool, fitness center, and much, much more. Outside contains beautiful seating arrangements, fountains, and views, as well as access to Oak Creek. Los Abrigados is also conveniently located about 9 minutes from the Sedona Airport.

One of Tlaquepaque's upcoming events for 2026 includes meeting the Easter Bunny, taking place on Saturday, April 19th, from 1PM - 3PM at Patio De Las Campañas. You can even have your wedding at Tlaquepaque, a perfect place for your special day. No matter what you are seeking in Sedona, you will always find something of interest, especially when it comes to their unique shops and beautiful architecture.
